Virginia Paul, chap maker for over thirty years, created “Pillows by Virginia”. Each pillow is handcrafted using the finest upholstery leather, front and back. Firmer leather is used to make horse head panels suitable for framing. All pieces are carefully cut and stitched in sequence for a three-dimensional effect. Careful attention is paid to every detail and authenticity of the braids and knots. Due to the handcrafted quality, slight variations may occur and artistic license was taken to accommodate the workability of materials. Laced leather edges encase a polyester fiberfill pillow insert. Horse head pillows are hand painted on the grain side of leather with the mane and foretop being suede. Each of these pillows is 18x18 inches. $169

“Snaffle bit horse” – the bridle is stitched cowhide leather with faux silver buckle set and adorned with numerous genuine kangaroo lace knots. The snaffle bit is made with silver metallic leather and painted design with leather slobber straps. The reins are poly-blend cord.

”Hackamore horse” – the bosal is kangaroo lace with an eight-plait braid, featuring a miniature pineapple knot and authentic nose button braid. The mecate is poly-blend cord with a horsehair tassel. The off side rein is painted in place.

"Bridle horse” – the bridle is basket stamped and stitches cowhide with a faux buckle set and Montana Silversmiths concho. The bit and rein chains are silver metallic leather with painted design and studs. The reins are eight-plait braid kangaroo lace with numerous knots, while the off side rein is painted in place.

“Western Boots” is so detailed they look as if you could wear them. The tops feature a single row of stitching with contrasting thread. The welts are sewn in place as a real boot, with trimmed finger pulls and top edge. The vamps are faux ostrich under dyed and scored leather to give the appearance of a real leather heel and sole. Studded floral or basket stamped spur straps have a faux silver concho and a row of studs on a dyed background. The spur is silver metallic leather with painted design while the off side spur is painted in place. This pillow size is 16x16 inches.

“Resting Cowboy and Cowgirl” feature a hand painted hat and face. They have fringed chaps accented with basket stamped stitched yoke and shield. Only the cowboy wears a matching cuff, which is adorned with studs, while their spur straps support a Montana Silversmiths concho. Their spurs are metallic leather with a painted design and the off side spur is painted in place. The pillow size is 18x18 inches.
